Barrow upon Soar lies in the Soar Valley, an area renowned for its fossil remains having been first established in the 12th Century. The village has grown through subsequent centuries to its present size and, today, Barrow is an attractive place to live with its road links to the A6 and A46 and its situation between Leicester and Loughborough and easy access to the M1 and M69 motorways and excellent public transport links for travel to the universities of Loughborough, Leicester and Nottingham.
